2016 Gidget Retro Teardrop Camper - Noosa model.

Limited edition with only a 115 every manufactured. I was the second owner of camper #42, however the caravan was near new when i was lucky enough to find it. I said to myself i was going to look at it only and not rush into buying anything, but the moment i saw it, i had to have it.

This beautiful caravan that turns heads and starts conversations everywhere you go, it has been both my quick getaway as i travelled around QLD and NSW on short trips and has also been my permanent home while i was in between homes during one house sale and a new home construction, so it has been well and truly put through its paces. It has not been a car port ornament.

On top of all of the amazing and numerous features of the caravan, i have made a few upgrades.
Removed the skylight and covered with a solid block out roof. (a skylight sounds great until the sun hits you in the face at 5am in the morning!) and there was also chatter on the gidget facebook page about some of the skylights leaking, so before that ever happened, i eliminated the problem.

While i was at it, i also blacked out the round windows on the door, as the curtains never really covered them property and again a stray beam of sunlight would get you.

I covered the curved roof with flexible solar panels 2 x 175w, so the caravan would get sun and charge the battery anytime, and not require the caravan to be "extended" to expose the hidden solar panel, and while i was at it, i installed a second battery 120amp AGM Deep Cycle, and Enerdrive Solar Regulator to provide more off grid power for the longer trips to the middle of no where, and for comfort i upgraded the mattress.

I also replaced the non locking water cap with a locking water cap.

There are not too many other things to improve on, as the Gidget is pretty well kitted out.

So why on earth would i want to sell it? Well i dont like seeing it just sit in the shed now i have a concrete castle, it needs to travel and become someone else's maker of memories and travel buddy while exploring Australia.

If you are in the market for a caravan you can set up in 5 minutes, or is simple for 1 person to manage, or you are just curious, then you need to come and have a look. There is not harm in looking !
